Sunday Church School 9:15 - 10:15 AM
The children and adults of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church of Oakwood, Georgia meet Sundays from 9:15 - 10:15 AM for church school. At St. Gabriel's our children are provided with an environment in which they learn and experience acceptance, love and faith, scripture, Christian theology, and the history of the Episcopal Church. We encourage the involvement of parents, teachers, staff and children for our continued spiritual growth. Join our classes between our 8:00 and 10:30 AM services. St. Gabriel's Youth Wednesday nights 6:30 - 8:00 PM
The questions for this part of a young person's life and development are vast and varied. They can best be explored together with one's own peers, leaders of faith, and spiritual guidance.
Our youth group is a thriving and integral part of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church. It is a core and basis for our children, pre-teens and young adult's faith, life decisions, choices and many discoveries. All youth from kindergarten to 12th are invited.
6th - 12th Grades
For our children's spiritual journey toward adulthood, our older youth ministry program will continue this year with ongoing Bible study, prayer, and preparation for Confirmation. This program allows them to explore their faith through study and outreach opportunities in their communities, as well as exploration and implementation as youth leaders in the St. Gabriel's community. The program also focuses on the celebration of youth individuality and autonomy, and youth are invited to discover their faith, creative potential and leadership abilities.
