What Is A Sacrament?
A sacrament is a sacred rite. In the Episcopal Church, sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace, given by Christ as certain means by which we receive that grace. Different religious denominations have different approaches to sacraments and may or may not consider themselves to be sacramental churches. When we say we are a sacramental church, it means we practice the sacred rites of our faith which include: Holy Baptism, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation, Ordination, Holy Matrimony, Reconciliation of a Penitent (penance), and Holy Unction. Of these sacraments, Holy Baptism and the Holy Eucharist are the two great sacraments in the Gospel given by Christ to his Church.

Funeral Service (not a sacrament)
A funeral is a supportive service our church provides for its members and their loved ones. It is not a rite or sacrament as such; however, the service itself and the support of our community for its members during a time of grief are precious gifts. Fr. Bill Combs and Deacon Sue assist with the funeral service which can be a memorial service or a traditional Holy Eucharist service. Our Parish Care teams assist the grieving family with several levels of support depending on the family's needs and wishes.
